Optical fiber sensing technology and application expert working committee, Chinese Society for Optical Engineering and China optical fiber sensing technology and industry innovation alliance were established on May 6, 2015, under the support and guidance of Chinese Society for Optical Engineering, combined with such member units as universities, enterprises, institutes, investments in optical fiber sensing technology and industry, especially the units which undertake the national optical fiber sensing projects and have a certain scale and influence in the industry. The alliance is the most authoritative organization in this field, with more than 250 member units. The core mission of the alliance is to promote technological innovation, industrial progress and industrial development in the field of optical fiber sensing and based on the monitoring demands of military defense, oilfield safety, power grid security, civil bridges, coal security, geological disaster safety, rail transit, smart city, etc to establish sharing mechanisms on upstream and downstream, production and research, intellectual property and other resources.
